Using VR technology to create a memorable gaming experience

A gaming technology company used virtual reality technology for a better gaming experience. To promote a product using an innovative concept to give the audience a delightful experience, they employed a WebAR solution by using the phone’s front-facing camera to superimpose the user’s face on the body of a skateboarder and transported it into virtual reality. The gaming company gained thousands of entries for the product and grew in ranks among competitors.

Using AR to give users a unique product experience

A luxury goods company needed a unique way to showcase the features of multiple products without physical products, while still maintaining corporate branding. They adopted a unique AR experience that brought each brand's story to life in a 3D animated model through intricate storyboarding, giving users a consistent shared experience and giving the their team control over the overall session.

Speeding up production processes with digital twin technology

In order to speed up production processes by quickly detecting errors, an ICT company created a digital twin with its system model using Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody software. This enabled MBDE (model-based systems engineering) with its support for Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Lanugauge (UML) for modeling, simulation, testing and code generation. Using the system model, design engineers were able to perform simulations and tests on the digital twin and identify and resolve any design defects. One the digital twin is performed well, the application code is compiled and loaded into the physical twin. This process reduces the amount of time needed to validate software performance on the physical twin, enables the team to solicit and validate customer requirements earlier in the development life cycle and allows for greater agility in handling future design changes.

Increase productivity and reduce cost of manufacturing

A manufacturing company needed to improve productivity and minimize error. Using a simulation technology software which was wi-fi enabled and connected to a server which sends real-time alert through the wearabale device to the user to notify them whether they were properly tightening and sealing crucial jet engine b-nuts. This simulation software verified the correct value in real time, tracked result and automatically saved information by taking photos ( through the smart glasses). They were able to provide instant quality control on future projects and they create a digital trail of work that has been done on each jet engine and saved the company cost. This tremendously minimized errors, cut down on costs and improved product quality.

Pulling a battery from a missile using VR technology

Using virtual reality, a manufacturer was able to explore maintenance techniques. For example, teams could interact with the system using 3D stereoscopic immersive visualization, so they were able to pull a battery from a missile. These users were trained to perform several maintenance activities using this technology, saving costs and time.
