Automation Alley is completing their Michigan Automated Systems Collaborative (MASC) project with Advance Michigan in 2018. The MASC structure will remain in place beyond our grant period to continue developing strategic partnerships between industry, academia, government, research and professional associations.

Universal Tool Equipment and Controls Inc. (UTEC) provides automation systems, welding systems, and tooling to OEM’s,
Tier 1’s, and Integrators. Industries served include Automotive, Steel, Aerospace, and the Energy sector. UTEC is a Certified Woman Owned Business staffed with a Management Team with vast experience in the industry, ranging from 20-40 years of experience within our core team.

Vanderplaats Research & Development, Inc., (VR&D) was founded by Dr. Garret N. Vanderplaats in 1984 for the advancement of numerical optimization in industry. Over the years, the company has evolved into a premier software company, developing and marketing a number of design optimization tools, providing professional services and training, and engaging in ongoing advanced research. All developers hold advanced degrees (most with Ph.D.s) in design optimization and collectively have nearly 100 years experience in optimization, research, and software development.

We make 3D simulation mainstream with reusable simulation components.There are four main applications for the Visual Components software: an engineering tool, a sales tool, a robot programming tool and a platform for building your own simulation solution.

The Workforce Development Department at Washtenaw Community College offers valuable resources focused on the business community and workforce training. We offer a flexible, one-stop solution for all workforce needs.

We are large enough to support metrology and automotive styling customers all around the world and at the same time we focus on those customers as individuals, requiring unique solutions.

WIN’s mission is to cultivate a comprehensive and cohesive talent system to ensure employers find the workers they need for success. WIN specializes in fostering collaboration among talent partners, including workforce development, community colleges, four-year postsecondary institutions, K-12 schools, economic development organizations, government, community based organizations, employers, and others.
