Automation Alley is completing their Michigan Automated Systems Collaborative (MASC) project with Advance Michigan in 2018. The MASC structure will remain in place beyond our grant period to continue developing strategic partnerships between industry, academia, government, research and professional associations. 

Baker College is part of the Baker College System, the largest private non-profit college in Michigan. Baker College is a career college that offers certificate, diploma, associate degree, bachelor degree, and master degree programs totaling more than 100. The focus areas are business, technical, and health & human services. Several accelerated bachelor degree completion programs are offered. The Auburn Hills campus, established in 1992, has grown from 292 students in 1992 to over 3,500 in Fall 2006. The employment rate for graduates of the Auburn Hills campus has been 99% or higher for the past ten years.

Lawrence Technological University is a private accredited university focused on providing superior education through cutting-edge technology, small class sizes, and innovative programs. Located in Southfield, Lawrence Tech offers over 50 degrees through Colleges of Architecture and Design, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and Management. Nearly 5,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate, master?s, and doctoral programs conveniently offered for full or part-time students, with day, evening, and weekend courses.

Macomb Community College is one of the nation's leading community colleges, providing learning experiences to more than 59,000 students annually. Macomb nationally ranks in the top two percent in the number of associate degrees awarded and as the largest grantor of associate degrees in Michigan. The college's comprehensive educational programming includes pre-collegiate experiences, university transfer and career preparation programs, bachelor degree completion and graduate degree programs, workforce training, professional education and certification, and continuing education and enrichment opportunities.

The Technology Division at Mott Community College offers Certificates and Associate Degrees in Design, Manufacturing and Service Industry specialties as well as Computer and Information Technology courses and degree programs.

With five campuses throughout Oakland County, Oakland Community College offers degrees and certificates in approximately 100 career fields and university transfer degrees in business, science and the liberal arts. The College provides academic and developmental experiences that allow each student to reach their full potential and enhance the diverse communities they serve. More than a million students have enrolled in the college since it opened in 1965.

Oakland University is a Carnegie classification R3 doctoral research university located on 1,443 acres of scenic land in the cities of Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills in Oakland County, Michigan. Oakland is a nationally recognized public university. Academics include programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Education and Human Services, School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Schoolcraft College provides education, training, and services for a variety of students and businesses. The college teaches and trains over 30,000 individuals each year. Some students complete their general education liberal arts and sciences requirements at Schoolcraft College and then transfer to a university to complete their bachelor’s degree. Others attend Schoolcraft College to obtain skills required to work in careers such as healthcare, manufacturing technology, information technology, business and public safety.

The Workforce Development Department at Washtenaw Community College offers valuable resources focused on the business community and workforce training. We offer a flexible, one-stop solution for all workforce needs.

Our mission is to promote, attract, and grow the robotic and automated system industries in the state of Michigan. MASC aims to make Michigan the national leader in the design, development and manufacturing of automated systems and related robotic technologies.
