Monte Falcoff is a registered patent attorney and principal in the Troy office of Harness Dickey, where he counsels clients ranging from large, multi-national companies to startups and universities. His practice includes managing patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret assets; providing clearance opinions; negotiating licensing agreements; assisting with complex intellectual property litigation; and preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications in the U.S. and abroad. Notably, Falcoff has successfully patented many additive manufacturing inventions — including those covering the use of 3D printing — in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Falcoff holds a B.S. in Engineering from Michigan State University and a J.D. from Wayne State University. In addition to his legal practice, Falcoff serves as an adjunct professor of various IP law classes at the Michigan State University College of Law. He also serves on Michigan State University’s College of Engineering Alumni Advisory Board as well as on the Wayne State University College of Engineering, Anderson Entrepreneur Institute Advisory Board. Prior to his current legal career, Falcoff was a marketing manager, patent coordinator and systems engineer at United Technologies Corporation.
