Procurement Technical Assistance Centers
The Procurement Technical Assistance Program helps businesses seeking to compete in federal, state and local government contracting. Funded through cooperative agreements between the Department of Defense, state and local entities, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) provide a range of expert services at little or no charge. PTACs support national security by ensuring a broad base of capable suppliers for the defense industry and other agencies, thereby increasing competition, which supports better products and services at lower costs.
PTACs of Michigan are not-for-profit organizations funded by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and local funding partners. The mission of the PTACs of Michigan is to enhance national defense and economic development of the state of Michigan by assisting Michigan businesses in obtaining and performing on federal, state and local government contracts. Through seminars, events, training and consultations, the PTACs of Michigan work to help local businesses succeed in the government marketplace.
Businesses interested in government procurement opportunities can meet with a PTAC associate at Automation Alley’s Troy Headquarters. To schedule a meeting, contact Automation Alley's Resource Center at (800) 427-5100 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
