2009 Annual Report
Automation Alley has released its 2009 Annual Report, which focuses on the many accomplishments and achievements reached by the organization in the past year.
Highlights include:
- Automation Alley remained strong as the voice of Southeast Michigan’s technology community, reaching a landmark 1,000 members in 2009.
- Executive Director Ken Rogers represented the Alley at President Barack Obama’s Forum on Jobs and Economic Growth. Rogers discussed ways to stimulate today’s economy and foster job creation.
- Automation Alley conducted its 12th trade mission, to Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem, Israel.
- The Alley invested $700,000 in seed funding to four local technology start-up companies: Circle Builder Software LLC; Clean Emission Fluids, Inc.; Critical Signal Technologies, Inc.; and Ventech LLC.
- A new and improved job board was launched, which now streamlines the posting and recruiting process.
- X-OLOGY, Automation Alley’s quarterly print magazine, witnessed another successful year, publishing four issues highlighting the innovative automotive technology business, healthcare technology, green technologies, and Southeast Michigan’s increasing role in corporate, homeland and military security technologies.
- Automation Alley reached out to the technology community in new ways through social media. Members and visitors alike can now follow the Alley on Twitter, view photos from Alley events on Flickr and create business connections through the Alley LinkedIn group.
