I/S Toolkit

Coming Soon......

One of the RSA's major projects for 2008 is the development and publication of an Information Security toolkit for use by businesses. This toolkit will focus on understanding the key issues in information security from a non-technical perspective.

There are many reasons why a company may fail to address the need for a comprehensive information security plan; small businesses, in particular, are less likely to have in-house staff with the time and expertise to develop such a plan. Others may feel that existing anti-virus and firewall software provides sufficient protection, or gamble that a data breach is unlikely to happen. And too often, businesses and individuals feel overwhelmed by the highly technical "bits and bytes" nature of the field, assume that the organization could survive a data breach, or fail to think about the security of valuable information until after a breach has occurred.

The toolkit will be available online in late 2008, and is free to all registered users. Live training events will be held regularly, focusing on tools and information that can be put to use immediately. These events will offer an opportunity to speak with experts in the field and share best practices with the wider business community, as well as offering industry-specific information for targeted fields including health care and homeland security.
