Connecting Business and Government
Automation Alley's Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the National Automotive Center (NAC) offers many benefits and conveniences for both business and the Army, including knowledge, equipment, and funding exchange.
A CRADA is a program which links federal government laboratories with commercial companies in a consistent technology transfer encouraging U.S. business competition.
Through this partnership, companies receive the benefit of an expedited agreement process and a flexible resource acquirement that helps them accomplish their technology goals. The partnership is mutually beneficial to both commercial business and the Army in its interest of industry and technology transfer.
All company proprietary information pre-dating the CRADA remains completely safe and intellectual property will be protected under copyright by its inventor. The conditions of the CRADA agreement are simple and accessible, for the purpose and clarity for both the business and the NAC.
