In an effort to close the local skills gap, and to ensure Southeast Michigan’s workforce has the expertise needed to compete in today’s market, Automation Alley has partnered with several colleges and universities to offer training opportunities and tuition discounts to employees of Automation Alley member companies.

Exclusive to Automation Alley

Automation Alley is offering its members a subscription discount to Global Business Professor, a new online education subscription service helping corporate professionals and business school students learn practical, up-to-date international business skills. Global Business Professor offerings are provided in a ‘blended learning’ approach, and include on-demand seminars, audio interviews, online courses, reports, studies, live online and public events, in-house programs, and international business eJournals. As an added bonus, Automation Alley members can now receive discounted training from the Thunderbird School of Global Management through their Global Business Professor subscription.

Lawrence Technological University offers up to $3,000 in tuition grants to all employees of Automation Alley member companies. These include:

  • $3,000 per semester for full-time undergraduate students (12 credits or more)
  • $1,500 per semester for part-time undergraduate students (at least six credits)
  • $250 for each graduate-level course a student takes

The Automation Alley Educational Savings Program form must be completed and approved to secure these tuition grants. See www.ltu.edu for academic programs.

University of Detroit Mercy’s College of Business Administration offers the 16th best MBA program for Management in the entire nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. Employees of Automation Alley member companies receive a 50% tuition discount on all Business Administration graduate degrees and certificate programs.

Davenport University offers all Automation Alley member organizations' employees a 20% discount on the university's more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs.

Automation Alley is proud to partner with Tooling U SME to provide our members with more than 500 online manufacturing training courses. Automation Alley members will receive rebates for the first two years for tuition paid. Foundation Members will receive a 10 percent rebate. Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Members will receive a 5 percent rebate. All rebates will be paid quarterly.

EAC is offering a 10% discount on all training classes to employees of Automation Alley member companies. The training is based off of PTC’s certified curricula. EAC training provides introductory, intermediate, and advanced training classes for all PTC products, including Creo and Windchill. Students will interact with a live instructor through technical demonstrations, tutorials, and Q-and-A sessions.

All employees of Automation Alley member companies are eligible for a 10% discount on eligible New Horizons Computer Learning Centers technical training courses.

Technology Partner Offers

Autodesk's Fusion 360, is a professional-grade CAD/CAE/CAM/ collaboration tool built from the ground up. It runs on common PC, Mac or mobile device platforms with no upfront software purchase cost.
